8 LEVELS OF GIVING
"Are you a recovering cheapskate?"
In the season of giving you could also give your anger, depression, anxiety or fear away & replace them with deeper understanding, compassion, and faith! A great gift to yourself.
Maimonides' Eight Levels of Tzedekah

(Our Mission at ToNT.oRg.)

Sixth rung: Giver knows receiver but receiver doesn't know giver
Fifth rung: Giver doesn't know receiver but receiver knows giver
Fourth Rung: Direct donation to needy without being asked
Third Rung: Donations of sufficient size after being asked
Second rung: Small donation given cheerfully after being asked
First Rung: Small donation given grudgingly after being asked

"Oh, you're changing your heart
Oh, You know who you are!"
When we give it should feel like a party! It's a natural ebullient high and one we need to feel complete. When we go inward and commune with Spirit we give to ourselves; when we share outwardly (constructively with love) that is our gift to the world. We are not complete without both.
