Breaking through for both men and women

I recently read a comment from a viewer who felt that limitation, as described in this week's service, was applicable to women far more than men.  I'd like to address this by saying that complacency or feeling one is "perfect" just as they are (usually a male problem) is not freedom either -- it's a prison of ignorance.  A free-flowing exponent of Spirit is ever growing and evolving in every positive aspect: this is only born of a burning desire to be in tune with one's essential nature.  Now, how many men do you know like that?  (I'm not knocking anyone personally, but, let's do be serious.)  Men have issues as a sex that are deeply disturbing.  Some of the most unspiritual behaviors are actually encouraged within men to make them more manly!  Now -- how unfair is that!  Just because a society may condone destructive activities doesn't make them right, not at all.

Men tend to be taught that their value is measured by their bank account, or stature in one false form or another: also pernicious lies causing much frustration and misery.  Worst of all, men are taught to belittle women -- from which they were born(!) -- and this callousness has caused an imbalance in our culture to such an extreme that we see evidence of its calamity all about us.  This kind of blind greed, take whatever you can get while you can get it, not-a-care for the future of our world, plunder and pillage mentality is distinctly masculine on the whole, of course, with exceptions.  However, it is women who allow themselves to be treated badly by men, often treating themselves worse; and who's most common error is mistaking "love" with letting someone "have their way" -- no matter how wrong that way may be.

Tendencies aside, women and men are all unique individuals and there is every kind of both.  Actions show who we are and we should be aware of them in both ourselves and others.  Let's listen to those actions that speak not only louder than words -- but so much more truthfully.
