Always exceptions, but, here's the rule:

Let us be lit 
from within!

Vanity is a huge detriment -- especially for women.  For example, in our "Seed Pack" on the In the Garden page, we suggest "eating until you're full."  Women, who wish to be thin, are often under-eating and, to compensate, wind up over-eating or bingeing and, either way she loses.  

It's not that all of women's problems would be solved if they would look perfect...  No: it's that women are much more complex than mere preoccupation with appearance.  It's men who are designed to emphasize physicality much more so.  Women, by design, have a richer internal life in order to bear the responsibility of carrying life. 

It's well known that girls mature a lot faster than boys.  But, at some point her growth is sidelined when girls allow boys or men to dictate their priorities -- and then adopt them as their own!  It doesn't matter if you succeed at being the most sexy female around: if it's all about attracting men, you've gained nothing for yourself -- and learned even less.  

Women don't always take advantage of one luxury that belongs uniquely to their sex: time.  (Women don't just starve their bodies: they can starve their souls this way, too.)  Because women have so much "going on," they should actually think things through, because a woman's complexity needs to be addressed.  When she's in a big hurry she's acting like a man and bypassing all the terrific qualities that make her special.

Women have been given a tough break through history, and continue to -- especially in countries where they treat the livestock better.  But she is an individual in the end, and perhaps the saddest injustice of all is when she fails to honor herself.  She starts doing this when she cares at least as much about the beauty she is cultivating within, and not just solely without -- which is a trait more indicative of the male species.
