Just to clarify...

Be not afraid of growing slowly, but of standing still.

1.  There are accidents.  
2.  There are negative forces that are real.
3.  Life is often unfair and we don't have to like what's happening -- but we have the opportunity to, and should!, make the most of it.  
4.  The power of Love is greater than all else and will prevail in the end -- if not sooner.
5.  You are the chief determining factor in your life.  The external is ephemeral, but you & Spirit are the constants.
6.  Where you place your resources: mental emotional and otherwise; is where you get your return.
7.  Want more happy?  More health, wealth, and peace of mind?  Keep doing spiritual things, for real, and they're yours.  They will not be denied to you as long as you persevere sincerely.
