Your happiness is far too important to be dependent upon an external circumstance -- any external circumstance. Spirituality is beyond opinion, beyond viewpoints, beyond all else and when you're actively spiritual: living from a real place of love and exhibiting that love; you're playing by a different set of rules because you're playing a different game.
A bigger game.
A better one.
Real happiness does not appear when things "go our way" and it does NOT disappear when things don't. Institutions tend to exist to perpetuate themselves and this precludes a diminishing of the value of an individual as an individual entity, and only views them as components of a whole, not even interchangeable parts, but simply a mass to move along the agenda of the larger entity of which they are comprised.
That is no road to happiness because in order to be happy you have to accept who you are: YOU ARE A CHILD OF GOD. I hope we understand at this point that God is not some moody old fart in the sky who takes away toys from some, blesses the fate of others, or sends a hurricane to change an election.
We all have freedom of choice, and the more the external stability dissipates, the more incumbent it is upon those who are sincerely spiritual to create a happiness that is independent from the world around it: "To be in the world and not of it," to quote that swell guy who mastered life and conquered death: you know him as Jesus.
GET HAPPY. STAY HAPPY. BE SPIRITUAL.
If you start with the last part, the first two will follow right along.
Oh, and remember to be loving -- we are all going to need it so very much.
Start with yourself and make it a great week. :)
